The Principals each comes from a background of retail and wholesale distribution and commerce, having worked in the Astaphan family business as young men for many years. They understand the market in St Kitts- Nevis and are able to represent business lines in food items, hardware, home appliances, air conditioning, building materials and supplies and furniture. As well, Gary DaSilva has particular expertise in Agricultural products, himself having being a successful farmer for several years. Eden is very excited about the future prospects for St. Kitts - Nevis given the recent geothermal results.Real Estate
The Principals are very experienced in Real Estate development, sales and consultancy, both for their own account and on behalf of others.
As Minister of Tourism, Dwyer Astaphan was responsible for attracting several large hotel developers to St. Kitts, and for kick-starting the explosive development of the Cruise Facility at Port Zante. Prior to becoming a Minister of Government, he was a founding partner of one of the more attractive residential development sites at Frigate Bay.
Gary DaSilva has being engaged in real estate development in St Kitts for well over 20 years, having being himself a developer.
Between 1979 and 1981, Kris Astaphan, at age 26, was the Managing Director of the Frigate Bay Development Corporation (FBDC) in St. Kitts, arguably one of the most successful publicly managed land development companies in the Caribbean. Under his management, the FBDC sold more house lots than in the prior 10 plus years of its existence and secured developers for several condominium hotels at the 850 acre fully-integrated residential resort complex. On a private basis, he has developed land for resale in St Kitts and is a co-owner of the premium beach/resort site in Tobago.
Governmental Relations
Dwyer Astaphan was a Minister of Government for some 13 years, holding in excess of 10 portfolios over that period (including Tourism, Telecommunications, Culture, Legal Affairs, and National Security). He has many well-established relationships throughout the Caribbean and is knowledgable about a wide range of issues facing the Region.
